West Suffolk Councillor | Haverhill West
Initially elected to serve on Haverhill Town Council, Margaret Marks was first elected to St. Edmundsbury Borough Council in 2015 and subsequently to West Suffolk Council in 2019 and 2023.
During 2018/19 Margaret was Mayor of St. Edmundsbury, Deputy Chair of Council in 2020 and again in 2021 and Chair of Council 2022. Having spent many years working in health related roles, she was appointed to sit on Suffolk County Council’s Health Scrutiny Committee which allowed her to make a substantial contribution to improving health in Suffolk.
She has a deep interest in the health and well-being of residents and continues to campaign for improved services.
