Councillor for Bardwell Ward
Andrew and his wife Pauline have lived in Bardwell for 18 years and they organise and support many community events. Andrew has been a Bardwell Parish councillor for over 13 years and understands the issues that affect rural communities. His personal commitment to supporting and speaking up for my rural communities is clear. He has raised £1,500 for the Ixworth patients association transport service from members locality budgets.
A Suffolk resident for 35 years this year, Andrew Smith has been a Bardwell Parish Councillor for over 13 of those years. With a background in the Energy sector in Bury St Edmunds as well, Andrew then became the Borough Councillor for Bardwell in October 2016. Now retired, Andrew enjoys being part of the local community as a volunteer for and/or supporter of the many fund-raising activities that take place for the many village organisations in Bardwell. Andrew enjoys singing and ambling to relax in his spare time.
