Cllr Beccy Hopfensperger was successfully elected to Suffolk County Council in May 2026 as the new Councillor for the re-drawn division of Barrow and Thingoe. This is one of three divisions that cross the boundaries with two Conservative Associations. The majority of the division sits in West Suffolk with the Fornhams and Great Barton sitting in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket Conservative Association.
Beccy is a long-standing Councillor at various levels. She currently serves as the West Suffolk District Councillor for The Fornhams and Great Barton. She is also the Conservative Group Leader on West Suffolk District Council. She sits on the Licensing and Regulatory Committee; Officer Appeals; Officer Appointments and Overview & Scrutiny.
Married with two boys, she recently relocated to Westley in Bury St Edmunds.
