The Annual Day at the Races for the West Suffolk Conservative Association saw many members returning for the event and a good number of first time attendees. The weather was kind. The pavilion looked smart with our new Association Banners on prominent display. The food was up to the usual high standards and the staff serving were delightful.
We had a good number of prizes in the raffle and raised £220.00 for the Newmarket branch. Several attendees had success on the horses too, with one table very studiously studying the form in the Racing Post - I think they won quite well but they did put the effort in! Guests wore varying shades of blue to the event and it was a very different way to spend a Saturday. If you haven't been before, come and give it a go next year as I am sure the Newmarket branch will organise it again.
