Suffolk Activists plan campaign

On a recent Saturday morning key activists from Conservative Associations across Suffolk attended a conference at the Cedars Hotel in Stowmarket. The aim was to discuss and plan our campaign for the District and General Elections on Thursday, 7th May, 2015.

West Suffolk Conservatives were well-represented at this important conference with six delegates, including our Chairman, County Councillor Mary Evans.

We looked at best practice and some of the lessons learnt in the County Elections in 2013. The Area Chairman, Peter Stebbings, introduced contributions from Colin Noble, former Area Chairman, to Richard Piper-Griffiths, CCHQ Campaign Field Officer. Paul Bolton from CCHQ also gave us a presentation on VOTE SOURCE, the new database to replace MERLIN.

We were pleased also, to have three political speakers in the form of Ben Gummer, MP for Ipswich, Vicky Forde MEP for Eastern region and Ann Steward, PPC for North Norfolk.

Sue Syvret, our Deputy Chairman Political, who attended the conference said. "It was reassuring to see so many key activists across Suffolk getting together at this stage to plan the campaign"
