With great sadness Councillor John Griffiths, ward member for Ixworth Ward and Leader of St Edmundsbury Borough Council, yesterday announced the passing of his father, Sir Eldon Wylie Griffiths,  aged 89 years old. 

Conservative Central Office Moves to New Premises

West Suffolk Conservative Association Deputy Chairman Political, Sue Syvret, recently attended the official launch of the Conservative Party's new headquarters at number 4 Matthew Parker Street. Located at the bottom of a small street, close to the House of Commons and only a five minute walk to Westminster tube station, the location offers an inspiring view to the front of Westminster Abbey. 

Rubbish Friends Launch New Haverhill Group

For the past two years the 'Rubbish Friend' have donned their high vis jackets in Newmarket and the surrounding villages every Friday morning,instead of meeting over a coffee, and turned their social life into something that helps the community. Recently featured on the One Show, the group actively encourage friends in other communities to form their own group.
