After the torrential rain last week it was a delight to be out campaigning in the sunshine for Robert Nobbs for the Newmarket East by election - Newmarket looks really special in the sun. We were joined by Cambridgeshire Mayor, Paul Bristow, and Cllr Birgitte Mager from BSECCA with her husband, Nick.
In the High Street we continued to gather names for the petition to stop an asylum hotel coming to Newmarket and had many conversations, even with the Reform candidate and his band of followers. After a session on the High Street we went out door knocking in All Saints Road and Nat Flatman Road before a break for lunch.
Thanks to those who gave up their Saturday to join us and particularly those who travelled from afar.
