Tim Passmore, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk and colleagues from both the Rural and Town Centre teams have been invited by the Association to come and take questions from members of the Association about policing in West Suffolk. This event is organised in response to a request by the Executive to have the opportunity to raise concerns, find out what is new, discuss the challenges of policing our wide and diverse area and discovering what help and support can be given to residents.
A recent tragic event in our area involving unsupervised dogs attacking sheep has led to a number of questions about rural policing. Concerns about potentially illegal trading in the West Suffolk area are also under review. The depth and variety of matters the Police deal with daily will shock and surprise many. What can we as residents do? How do we all work together to keep our area a safe and pleasant place to live and work?
Come and join the discussion. Ask your questions. It isn't always a police matter so talk to your local Councillors - Town, District and County - many of whom will be there.
The event which is being held at the Heath Court Hotel, Moulton Road, Newmarket CB8 8DY, is FREE to attend and is a Member Only event.
